It took a while, but now even this strange omnipresent sound that seems to belong to India too, the shhhhreeking sound of the peacock gets multilevel meanings.
At first hearing there is a kind of cognitive dissonance between how beautiful we consider those overdressed bad flying birds to be and the sounds they produce.
But after carefully considering this for a while, it becomes clear that even here our all pervading projections play a hidden but strong role in how we evaluate their wake up calls.
In the Vedas there are these 3 mental states, the gunas.

I noticed that, when heard thru a Tamas mind, the peacock mirrors back: ouch, ouch.
And when heard thru a Rajas mind, the peacock jubilates: wow, wow.
And the Sattvic mind hears how it is as: awe, awe.
